Summer Tuition Assistance

Available to Lorain County residents.

Through generous support from the Nord Family Foundation and Nordson Corporation Foundation, limited tuition assistance opportunities are available to Lorain County residents for CAS Summer Arts Programs. To apply, students should complete the online registration and indicate they are interested in tuition assistance. A coupon code will be provided to waive the deposit and, if applicable, the audition fee.

In addition to the online registration, a teacher recommendation form is required to complete your application. Applicants will be asked to indicate in the application which teacher will complete the recommendation form on their behalf.

Campers interested in tuition assistance will be notified of their award on a rolling basis beginning in March, 2023. Typical scholarship amounts range from 25%-75% coverage of camp fees. Tuition assistance opportunities are limited and applicants are encouraged to submit their registration as early as possible.

Academic Year Tuition Assistance

Available to All Current & New CAS Families

CAS offers tuition assistance each semester to ensure our classes, ensembles and private lessons remain accessible to all members of our community. Although tuition assistance awards are determined by financial need, families of all income levels are encouraged to apply.

Fall 2023 Tuition Assistance Applications will be available in early August.

If you are awarded tuition assistance, you will receive an email stating the amount of your award based on your application. A typical award is no more than 50% of the total cost. This amount can be used towards your  semester tuition.

Please register your student for the class as soon as possible, even before you know your award status, to ensure your spot in the program. Your participation in the program is not confirmed until you have completed the registration process. Remember that families who receive tuition assistance can expect to pay at least 50% of the total program cost.

If you have any questions, please contact the BW Community Arts School at or by calling 440-826-2365.

Available to CAS Private Lesson Students in Grades 10 – 12

High school students, grades 10-12, enrolled in private music lessons through CAS are eligible for the Koch Scholarship awards, up to an amount of $300. Once awarded, the Koch Scholarship will be applied directly to the student’s spring semester lessons.

Joyce and Frederick Koch were highly esteemed musicians in Cleveland and longtime supporters of the BW Community Arts School; we are honored to continue their support of quality music education through this award.
