Dalcroze Rhythmic-Solfège II

Dalcroze Rhythmic-Solfège II is for children ages 6 and older who have completed Rhythmic-Solfège I.

All Rhythmic-Solfège students will complete weekly assignments on a metallophone (a small portable xylophone) and in a workbook each week. Parents are expected to be present for the first 15 minutes of class each week to review homework from the previous week. This also provides time for learning how to practice with your child at home and for creating a foundation for a commitment to practicing and learning an instrument. A commitment from both parent and child to practice together at least 10 minutes each day, 5 days each week is expected.

This course is offered as an online class. The instructor has a special interest in finding innovative avenues for high quality, experience-based, interactive music education in any learning environment, including an online platform.

*Prerequisite: Completion of Rhythmic-Solfège I or approval from instructor.

*If you are interested and were not enrolled in the fall semester of Rhythmic-Solfège II  please contact Lauren Hodgson@ lhodgson@bw.edu

*No Classes on March 31st and April 7th
