Our MusicPlay program is committed to providing meaningful musical experiences for little ones during their most crucial window for development. We will be offering a 4 class summer session on Saturdays. Classes will be held outdoors on the lawn in front of Marting Hall, directly across from the conservatory steps, just on the other side of Seminary street, with designated sit spots for each family to encourage social distancing. Our curriculum and activities will be adapted to prioritize safety and eliminate the sharing of materials or contact between families, without sacrificing any of the fun! We ask that adults wear their masks to class along with all interns and instructors. Each little one who is new to MusicPlay for this term will be provided with a brand new beanbag, scarf, egg shaker, and rhythm sticks on the first day of their MusicPlay session that they may keep and bring to each class for their own use. Sanitized class materials will be available in the event that anyone forgets to bring their own to class.
Classes will be separated as follows:
9:00-9:30 – infants and children new to MusicPlay
10:00-10:30 – Children with at least 1 semester of MusicPlay, 24-36 months
11:00-11:30 – Children with at least 1 semester of MusicPlay, 3 years – PreK
In the event of inclement weather, CAS will contact you the day before class so that you can plan to report to our rain location.
Wondering why you don't see a registration fee? CAS has waived the typical $25 registration fee for all programs for the 2020-2021 academic year to make our programs more affordable during this difficult time.
