Julia Zanella is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace’s music education program, class of ‘14, where she studied under Laura Joss and Dr. Butch Marshall. She interned with the MusicPlay program for four years before entering the teaching field and has since taught K-5 general music in Cleveland Heights-University Heights City Schools as well as K-1 and 4-5 general music in North Ridgeville City Schools. She currently teaches over 400 students aged 4-8 at North Ridgeville’s Early Childhood Learning Community and Liberty School. She received her certification in early childhood music and general music through the Gordon Institute of Music Learning (GIML) professional development level courses, and is now serving as the President of GIML’s Ohio chapter. Julia has been teaching MusicPlay at Baldwin Wallace since the summer term of 2016, and wouldn’t rather spend the sixth day of her work week any other way.
