About the CAS Music Department

The BW Community Arts School offers a wide array of instrumental and vocal music educational opportunities. From private lessons to classes to ensembles, there are opportunities for all ages and all abilities. Leveraging the facilities and resources of Baldwin Wallace's renown Conservatory of Music, CAS students are able to take advantage of many opportunities unique to the campus. In addition to these immersive experiences, educators, conductors, and artists can find ways to engage in our professional development opportunities.

Community Impact

Each season, the Community Arts School performs in over 20 public performances on-campus and around the community.

Programming

We offer a range of programming for students from 2 to 99 in music and seek to be the premier location to expand the musicianship of each student. Students come here to receive instruction in everything from ‘ukulele to electronic music.

Suzuki Center

Our Suzuki Music Center currently offers Suzuki methods in violin and viola. We also offer private lessons in voice and every instrument and Suzuki Center for strings.

High Caliber Faculty

Our music department has instructors in all instruments with experience from orchestras around the world, composers, music theorists, and accomplished performers. Our dance faculty are all professional dancers featured on and off Broadway, with touring companies, and throughout the commercial dance industry. Our vocal instructors are sought after voice coaches and directors with experience in choral music, opera, and musical theatre.
