Classes at Community Arts School

There are a wide array of classes offered through the Community Arts School! Our classes are designed to provide exceptional education in a group setting. Our class sizes are small to ensure each individual receives personalized instruction. Classes may be scheduled as one-time immersive experiences, by mini-semesters, by semesters or year-long.

Art Classes

Visual art classes and instruction at BW’s Community Art School provide challenging courses and a creative outlet for students of all experience levels. Refine your skills as an artist, or discover a completely new art form as a beginner to expand your skills.

Dance Classes

The Baldwin Wallace Community Arts School Dance Department trains young dancers to have solid technical foundations, a passion for the arts, positive self-expression and confidence. Our professional approach ensures each student receives comprehensive dance training in an environment that supports personal achievement, discipline, friendship, teamwork, positive attitudes, creativity, kindness and respect. Curriculum is designed to train all ages, skill and confidence levels to achieve their greatest potential whether their goals are professional or personal growth. Programming includes classes in the areas of ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, acro, and hip hop for ages 2-21, beginner through pre-professional levels.

Creative Arts Classes for Homeschooled Students

Instrumental Music Classes

We offer ensembles for students in grades 4 through retiree! Our Youth Orchestra program boasts four ability-based ensembles. Our New Horizons Band and Orchestra Program allow adults of any ability to participate in a full band or string orchestra ensemble.

Theatre Classes

The theatre program at the BW Community Arts School incorporates class instruction for youth. Starting with a foundation of playing, students explore the world of theatre and ensemble work through games and storytelling. With multiple 6-week or 12-week long classes offered, students have a chance to customize their schedule. After the foundation has been set students continue to develop their artistry while taking an in-depth look at the fundamentals of bringing a story to life.

Vocal Music Classes

Group Voice Classes are excellent for the beginning or intermediate singer. Students will learn basic vocal technique including good posture, breathing, phrasing and interpretation of song literature in a small, supportive environment.
