Classes at Community Arts School
There are a wide array of classes offered through the Community Arts School! Our classes are designed to provide exceptional education in a group setting. Our class sizes are small to ensure each individual receives personalized instruction. Classes may be scheduled as one-time immersive experiences, by mini-semesters, by semesters or year-long.
Creative Arts Classes for Homeschooled Students
Baldwin Wallace Community Arts School’s homeschool program is designed to expose area homeschool students to a broad offering of arts instruction throughout the academic year. Our classes engage students’ creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills through high-quality visual and performing arts education. Students are encouraged to participate in all eight classes throughout the academic year, but it is not required.
Instrumental Music Classes
We offer ensembles for students in grades 4 through retiree! Our Youth Orchestra program boasts four ability-based ensembles. Our New Horizons Band and Orchestra Program allow adults of any ability to participate in a full band or string orchestra ensemble.
The theatre program at the BW Community Arts School incorporates class instruction for youth. Starting with a foundation of playing, students explore the world of theatre and ensemble work through games and storytelling. With multiple 6-week or 12-week long classes offered, students have a chance to customize their schedule. After the foundation has been set students continue to develop their artistry while taking an in-depth look at the fundamentals of bringing a story to life.
Vocal Music Classes
Group Voice Classes are excellent for the beginning or intermediate singer. Students will learn basic vocal technique including good posture, breathing, phrasing and interpretation of song literature in a small, supportive environment.
